Our India Business has been on a growth trajectory for the last few years. We are now a team of 10 associates across Sales, Service, Application and Operations located across India. This opportunity to join this team as a Business Development Manager to further fuel the growth of the Molecular Devices Business. If you are someone who is technically capable but at the same time has a business acumen to sell Technically Complex products, this opening could be a right fit for you. The position further requires extensive travelling and will have opportunities to learn and grow.Responsibilities –

+ Understand current Business scenario and competitive landscape. Have the ability to suggest strategic solutions for the growth of the business.

+ Solves customer’s technical problems and complaints promptly.

+ Collaborates with Sales and technical service to provide a complete solution to customers

+ Lead the interactions in Presales discussions of technically complex products. Learning and adapting to Value Selling will be encouraged.

+ Conduct customer trainings as and when required

+ Collaborate with Molecular Devices team or teams across other customers/vendors to provide an effective solution

+ Presenting the Molecular Devices portfolio at key conferences, Seminars, Round Tables and any large or small customer interactions.

+ Be involved with Marketing in Outbound marketing activities and be present at these events as a technical expert.

+ Pre Sales demonstrations, Seminars, Meetings and Discussions will be a major part of the profile. Limited involvement in post-sales troubleshooting/ customer support may be required infrequently.

+ The position is a Pan India role with additional responsibilities for South Asia (Neighboring Countries)

+ Conducting trainings for New Launches and Refresher trainings for Channel Partners as well as internal teams.

Qualifications:

+ PhD in Biology with 2-3 years’ experience in Commercial Organization or MSc with 6-7 years experience, or related field is preferable. We will consider appropriate experience in the industry and/or previous successful Customer facing experience.

+ Prefer 3-5 years of experience with scientific research instruments, scientific background, or similar technical profession. Previous successful customer facing experience is a plus

+ Previous experience in handling Molecular Devices or similar products preferred.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications. Ability to quickly learn and master additional software applications desired.
