Do you want to work in Field Technical Service? Do you enjoy service, repair and/or installation of products or IT solutions?

We are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer who will be responsible for providing frontline support by resolving customer issues through technical expertise and troubleshooting.

What we’ll get you doing:

+ Serve as lead to assigned customers – troubleshooting, installations, validations, maintenance, and service repair needs and complete required administrative responsibilities including documentation.

+ Identify business opportunities (PM’s, new service plan leads, new system leads) that help us continue to deliver double-digit growth.

+ Promote a consistently positive image of the service organization and focus on customer needs and satisfaction, while building and fostering positive and professional relationships with customers.

The essential requirements of the role include:

+ Associates Degree in Engineering/Biology with 1+ years of experience or Technical Degree in a related field with same.

+ Overnight travel 25% .

+ Maintaining a valid driver’s license that meets Molecular Devices’ safe driver standards.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

+ Field service engineer positions in a related industry.

+ Scientific research instruments, scientific background, or a similar technical profession.

+ Microsoft Office suite. The ability to quickly learn and master additional software applications is desired.

The hourly range for this role is $40.00-46.00/hour. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
