Description
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Provide business insights and opportunities from daily stakeholder engagement, improve the end-to-end sourcing experience, proactively identify and develop opportunities where GSS can drive greater value realization for business.
+ Drive initiatives to improve the investment efficacy by analyzing stakeholder’s behavior, benchmarking market landscape and providing actionable insights.
+ As an enabler to bring change and new innovation to leverage needs, identify new business opportunities to drive topline.
+ Define and implement Category Sourcing cluster – GCO multiple commercial categories sourcing and supplier strategies for the allocated spend, ex. MICE, Professional Service Category, Media Buy, IT etc.
+ Manage the local supplier relationships, performance and contracting based on clear spend analysis, targets and ongoing strategic review meetings with key suppliers.
+ Define and deliver a strong savings contribute to GSS China annual saving target by assessing sourcing (Price) and demand (Quantity) initiatives. Conduct negotiation roadmaps with suppliers by applying corresponding strategies and best practices.
+ Deploy global strategies and projects as well as bring local best practice to global.
**Must have Qualifications:**
+ Purchasing knowledge: sourcing process, commodity management and analysis, supplier management and development, pricing theory and policy, negotiation, supply chain, make or buy.
+ Degree qualification in business or equivalent or equivalent
+ Purchasing related training
+ Negotiation (at least 1 course)
+ 3-5 years Purchasing experience in a profit driven and international environment
+ (Project) Management experience (team or direct)
+ Experience with tendering processes, supplier negotiations and contracting
+ Experience with ERP
+ Computer skills (MS-office environment)
+ Fluency in English, both in oral and written communication
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Business process related training
+ Experience in either leading or participating in Six Sigma projects.
+ 3 years Business Process related experience in a Pharmaceutical or similar environment
+ Fluency in multiple languages
+ Experience in presenting to senior management team
