**What you will do**

UPLIZNA (inebilizumab) is a monoclonal antibody that targets the CD19 cell surface marker on B-cells. UPLIZNA is currently indicated for the treatment of Neuromyelitis Spectrum Disorder (NMOSD) and IgG4-RD. The Associate Director Medical Marketing will be a critical leader within the brand team, tasked with leading the IgG4-RD strategy evolution of the Speakers Bureau, including core educational content as well as the Brand’s conference strategies for years to come. This role will impart cross-functional leadership, strong teamwork and communication skills, a passion for patients, and a commitment to excellence in carry-through.

**Responsibilities**

+ Lead a team in the evolution, execution, and operations of the UPLIZNA IgG4-RD Speaker Bureau for disease state and branded programs​

+ Oversee marketing senior managers in developing peer-to-peer education tactics including speaker training, disease education program content, branded launch events, and field-facing materials

+ Drive the development and evolution of the long-term UPLIZNA medical marketing strategy for IgG4-RD, ensuring alignment with overall brand objectives and scientific narrative; proactively identify opportunities to expand the medical marketing role across cross-functional areas such as patient services, market access, advocacy, and field force enablement to maximize launch impact and lifecycle planning

+ Collaborate closely with the UPLIZNA Portfolio Marketing team to align on integrated conference strategies and operations ensuring cohesive planning and execution of UPLIZNA-related activities across congresses.

+ Lead KOL engagement strategy in collaboration with Medical Affairs, Thought Leader Liaisons (TLLs), Field Medical, Sales leadership, and Professional Marketing teams

+ Lead team in building and executing US congress strategy, (excluding booth design and DSE and Branded resources which are owned by the Professional Marketing teams)

+ Partner with the Global Marketing team to co-create branded and unbranded core materials that can be localized for affiliates, where appropriate

+ Collaborate and influence across indications on the UPLIZNA team and across the Rare Disease Business Unit

+ Monitor market dynamics, competitive landscape, and customer insights to inform continuous improvement of marketing strategy​

+ Manage agency partners, including creative agencies and speaker bureau vendors, ensuring high-quality deliverables and budget management; be the primary point of contact with the Med Comm agency

+ Cultivate a collaborative, patient-centric team culture​ while having high standard of accountability

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Doctorate degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

+ Master’s degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

+ Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

+ Associate’s Degree and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

+ High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Strong medical marketing competencies to include advisory board content development/execution, speaker’s bureau development, KOL engagement, marketplace analysis, insight generation, HCP & patient segmentation, brand sustainability and multi-channel engagement

+ Experience in leading strategy development and influencing cross-functional teams

+ Experience in rare disease marketing preferred

+ Launch experience preferred

+ Experience collaborating with external experts and professional medical associations

+ Experience in partnering with TLL (Thought Leader Liaison) teams preferred

+ Strong communication effectiveness; ability to engage, connect, and influence senior management and the sales and marketing organizations

+ Experience working with multiple projects and managing multiple external vendors

+ Ability to translate and communicate complex information/strategies into simple and impactful plans

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
