**Siemens Grand Prairie Manufacturing facility is looking for a Mechanical Engineer for their Product Development team.**
**You will make an impact by:**
+ Leading new product development for electrical equipment (Panelboards and Switchboards). Engineer innovative design concepts utilizing CREO. Create multiple design concepts & perform trade-off studies of those concepts to determine the optimal solutions.
+ Being able to navigate through the unknown and actively seek out new knowledge to apply to projects.
+ Planning and managing projects including scope of work, schedules, costs and completion dates.
+ Preparing prototypes for design feasibility evaluation and testing. Prepare and execute test plans.
+ Working with cross functional teams to drive projects to completion.
+ Creating Part drawings, Material BOMs, Engineering Change Notices as they relate to product development, improvements and/or cost reductions.
**You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:**
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ BSME
+ 2-5 years’ experience in new Product Development Engineering
+ Minimum 3 years of Creo or similar 3d modelling software
+ Strong working knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), product design and concept testing
+ Hands-on prototyping experience
+ Strong creative and technical aptitude
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Panelboard / Switchboard design experience
+ Minimum 2 years of Project Management experience
+ MSME
