The National Director of Sales Digital Pathology for Leica Biosystems is responsible to develop and execute a successful sales strategy and plan for rapid revenue growth and market share expansion across region. Lead a team of sales and application representatives to exceed Leica Biosystems sales goals and deliver on commercial strategies.

This position is part of the Global Sales Pathology Imaging organization located in the USA and will be fully remote. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

+ Achieve and exceed region’s quarterly and annual sales quotas, strategic and unit sales, mix objectives, profit goal and market share goals

+ Provide the direction, leadership, coaching and mentoring for direct sales representatives. Advance the professional development , professional conduct sales effectiveness and efficiency of associates

+ Forecast monthly revenue projections utilizing the company CRM (Salesforce.com). Drive standard work to funnel management process in CRM (Salesforce.com)

+ Develop, solidify and maintain high-level relationships within key accounts (including NA Top 10) in assigned geography; these relationships should include Senior Hospital Management (C-Suite), Laboratory Administration, Department of Pathology, Purchasing and/or Materials Management, Contracts Administration and other key departments and/or personnel.

+ Achieve and sustain high levels of customer satisfaction through delivery of sales and support assistance.

+ Work collaterally with each Sales Vertical, Applications team, and Business Unit to deploy solutions that capitalize on the Leica Biosystems’ value proposition to implement a workflow strategy that improves competitive selling (WIN) and further develops the current install base (Expand).

+ Align and execute KAM/KOL strategies in collaboration with KAM team and other Sales Directors from other Sales Vertical.

The essential requirements of the job include:

+ Bachelor’s degree in related field required or equivalent experience, MBA preferred

+ Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated success in leading teams selling medical equipment or consumable products to the hospital or research marketplace, preferably in the pathology laboratory

+ Leading teams selling medical equipment or consumable products to the hospital or research marketplace, preferably in the pathology laboratory

+ Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a large, geographically distributed and organizationally complex team in a fast paced and dynamic environment

+ Business management, financial acumen and contracting

+ Developing high level, C Suite, relationships in the marketplace.

+ Understanding of the FDA regulatory environment and the reimbursement process

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

+ Experience in a Marketing role is not required, but would be preferred

The salary range for this role is 175,000 – 220,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
