This site will support approximately 1,700 employees and specialize in Busway and Busplug manufacturing, including metal and bar fabrication, powder painting, plating, epoxy, and assembly operations. As an **Order Engineering Manager** , you will lead the engineering team responsible for translating customer requirements into accurate, manufacturable, and cost-effective product designs. This role is responsible for managing order engineering activities from project handoff through production release, ensuring technical accuracy, on-time execution, and alignment with customer specifications, Siemens standards, and manufacturing capabilities. You will play a critical role in supporting customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and the successful ramp-up of the Pendergrass facility.
**You will make an impact by:**
+ Leading and developing a team of order engineers responsible for configuring and designing busway and busplug solutions based on customer requirements and project specifications.
+ Managing the order engineering workflow to ensure accurate and timely release of manufacturing documentation, bills of material, drawings, and engineering changes.
+ Providing technical leadership and guidance on product applications, specifications, standards, and design requirements.
+ Driving engineering execution to meet customer commitments, business objectives, and production schedules.
+ Collaborating closely with sales, project management, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and product engineering teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
+ Reviewing customer specifications, drawings, and project documentation to ensure compliance with product capabilities, codes, and standards.
+ Leading resolution of technical issues, engineering clarifications, and customer design inquiries.
+ Supporting new product introductions, product updates, value engineering initiatives, and design standardization efforts.
+ Identifying opportunities to improve engineering processes, automation, and productivity through continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Managing engineering performance metrics including on-time engineering release, engineering quality, throughput, and customer responsiveness.
+ Supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring engineering documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with production requirements.
+ Driving effective change management processes and ensuring engineering changes are properly documented and communicated.
+ Recruiting, developing, coaching, and retaining a high-performing engineering team.
+ Promoting a culture of safety, quality, accountability, innovation, and teamwork throughout the organization.

**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
+ 8+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or electrical products environment.
+ 3+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams and engineering execution processes.
+ Experience interpreting customer specifications, engineering drawings, technical requirements, and manufacturing documentation.
+ Experience with engineering design, product configuration, and order execution processes.
+ Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
+ Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and driving operational improvements.
+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership capabilities.
+ Proficiency with ERP systems, engineering systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
+ Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
+ Experience with busway, busplug, switchgear, power distribution equipment, electrical infrastructure products, or related industries.
+ Experience supporting manufacturing start-ups, facility expansions, or significant production ramp-ups.
+ Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, NEC requirements, UL standards, and industry codes.
+ Experience with SAP, Teamcenter, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, EPLAN, or similar engineering systems.
+ Experience managing engineer-to-order (ETO), configure-to-order (CTO), or make-to-order manufacturing environments.
+ Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Lean Engineering, and continuous improvement methodologies.
+ Experience driving engineering automation, standardization, and digitization initiatives.
+ Proven success improving engineering productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
**Preferred Certifications:**
+ Project Management Professional (PMP)
+ Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
+ Professional Engineer (PE) License
+ Certified Manager of Engineering (CME) or equivalent leadership certification
