**ROLE SUMMARY**

Pfizer’s Oncology Research Division is dedicated to the development of oncology agents that disrupt cancer biology or redirect the immune system against cancer cells.

As a Principal Scientist in Proteomics, your research will drive a deeper understanding of ADCs including novel payloads, tumor-associated antigens, and immune engagers. Relevant proteomic methodologies include label-free and TMT mass spectrometry, and profiling protein abundance, turnover, and interactomes.

You will represent the Systems Biology group on research and drug discovery teams, and will work closely with line leads in biology, chemical biology, drug design, and protein engineering groups to innovate and develop first-in-class oncology therapies.

**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ Contribute as a proteomics team lead including line leadership within research project teams, developing and deploying new technologies, and manage junior colleagues.

+ Drive innovation in all aspects of laboratory operations including mass spec technology evaluation, proteomic software evaluation, development of quantitative sample preparation methods and peptide separation methods, data analysis and interpretation.

+ Enhance the external reputation of Pfizer’s Systems Biology through establish research collaborations, presenting at conferences, and contributing publications.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**

+ Ph.D. in biological sciences, proteomics, chemical biology, analytical chemistry, or a related field

+ 4+ years related industry R&D experience

+ Experience leading a small team

+ Applied mass spectrometry-based proteomics experience including experience with Thermo Tribrid Orbitraps.

+ Expertise with targeted mass spectrometry (parallel reaction monitoring; PRM), data independent acquisition (DIA), and/or tandem mass tag (TMT) methods.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**

+ 6+ years of related industry and/or postdoctoral experience

+ Experience with ZenoTOF or timsTOF

+ Deep understanding of automated sample prep, chemoproteomics, targeted biologics, and small-molecule degraders.

+ Knowledge of oncology including cytotoxins, kinase inhibitors, molecular glues, CD3 bispecifics, and immune-oncology.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $99,900.00 to $166,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 15.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
