Process Development Scientist

**What you will do**

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be responsible for supporting the development and qualification of analytical methods, the characterization of protein-based biologic therapies, and process development activities.

+ Work in a cross-functional team environment to advance therapies in late-stage development.

+ Analyze late-stage protein-based therapies with advanced techniques such as capillary electrophoresis, liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry, as well as other methods.

+ Play an integral role in the development, qualification, and transfer, of analytical methods working closely with subject matter authorities and quality control scientists.

+ Develop novel process or approaches to solve problems within the scope of analytical sciences.

+ Mange project work packages or workflows independently.

+ Integrates results both within work group and cross-functional groups into experimental design.

+ Other duties include data analysis, preparation of electronic notebook records of experimental data, authorship of technical protocols and reports, presentation of results at team meeting, and support for regulatory filings as needed.

+ Troubleshoot and maintain laboratory equipment.

+ Provide technical support and troubleshooting for analytical issues.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and innovation.

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of scientific / pharmaceutical experience

+ Master’s degree and 2 years of scientific / pharmaceutical experience

+ Doctorate degree

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Degree in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or related subject area.

+ Excellent laboratory skills with 3+ years of experience in industry laboratories supporting analysis and characterization of protein therapies.

+ Advanced technical expertise in analytical methodologies used to characterize protein therapeutics including CE-SDS, cIEF / icIEF, HIC, SEC, IEX, RP, HILIC, MS, etc.

+ Expertise handling, troubleshooting, and maintaining CE and LC instruments.

+ Expertise using CE and LC operation and data analysis software.

+ Experience with data processing and statistical analysis software tools.

+ Ability to independently prioritize, schedule, and handle multiple tasks to meet results.

+ Ability to lead small projects and / or work packages.

+ Ability to work in a matrix team environment and collaborate effectively.

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills.

+ Experience with use of electronic notebooks.

+ Hands-on experience with method qualifications and transfers.

+ Skilled in phase-appropriate GMP compliance and documentation.
