**R&D Project Manager – Power Distribution**

The Electrification and Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing into our Future Grids portfolio and applications to create the power distribution grid of the future. Our comprehensive portfolio meets the growing technical requirements of todays and tomorrow’s power grid!

**We are looking for** **skilled and motivated R&D Project Manager to join our global R&D organization. Our team is responsible for the development of medium and low voltage power distribution products and systems for both indoor and outdoor applications.** **This position will be based on-site in Wendell, NC.**

**You’ll make an impact as you:**

+ Support R&D design leaders in defining, planning, and managing R&D projects through all development phases.

+ Oversee and track project scope, timeline, milestones, and budget to ensure successful delivery.

+ Manage multiple concurrent projects across various product groups in the medium and low voltage domain.

+ Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure clear communication among stakeholders.

+ Identify risks and dependencies early; escalate issues appropriately and drive resolution.

+ Facilitate meetings, reporting, and project reviews to ensure alignment with global R&D objectives.

+ Promote a team-oriented, entrepreneurial mindset that fosters innovation and accountability.

+ Handle complex organizational structures with confidence and clarity.

**You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:**

Basic Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Project Management, or other technical field.

+ 7+ years of project management experience in an R&D, product development, or engineering environment.

+ 4+ years of experience with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., MS Project, Agile, SAP).

+ Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Basic understanding of medium and/or low voltage power distribution systems.

+ Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects in parallel.

+ Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

+ Ability to work in a matrixed, global environment and navigate complex structures.

+ Entrepreneurial spirit with a collaborative and proactive approach.
