Description

At Amgen you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Salesforce applications to meet business needs. You will collaborate with a team of Business Owners, Operations, software engineers, Architects, Product owners, Business Analysts, participate in the full software development life cycle, and ensure the delivery of high-quality code and solutions. Your strong programming skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail will contribute to the development of robust and scalable software solutions.

**Roles & Responsibilities:**

+ Design and implement Salesforce Lightning components using LWC and Aura frameworks to enhance platform functionality and user experience.

+ Configure roles, profiles, permission sets, and region-wise security and sharing settings to ensureappropriate accesscontrol across user groups.

+ Create and customize standard and custom objects, page layouts, validation rules, record types, and formula fields to meet business requirements.

+ Develop andmaintainApex classes, triggers, Visualforce pages, and custom controllers as needed.

+ Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and external/internal systems using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware.

+ Utilize Copadodeployment toolto manage source control, deployments, pipeline automation, and environment management in support of release processes

+ Apply Salesforce development best practices to ensure code reusability, maintainability, and compliance with performance and scalability standards.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve development or configuration issues during QA, UAT, and production support cycles.

+ Participated in design reviews, sprint planning, and code reviews, contributing to Agile/Scrum ceremonies and delivery cycles.

+ Maintain documentation including technical design, solution architecture, and release notes for enhancements and projects.

+ Ensure all development work adheres toGxP, CSV, and compliance requirements, including documentation traceability and audit readiness.

+ Collaborate with business analysts,Qualityand infrastructure teams to deliver reliable and compliant Salesforce solutions.

+ Stay up to date with Salesforce platform releases, new features, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and platform optimization.

+ Ensure to perform Unit testing on the functionality before moving to higher environments.

+ Support the operations team with User Access Management or Configuration changes or Data Migration activities or Data discrepancies on demand.

+ EnsuretoResolve or MitigateSecurity CodeScan Risks & Vulnerabilities.

+ UtilizeSalesforce Reportingcapabilities to design various reports to tailor to the Stakeholder needs.

+ Able to support the operations team with User Access Management or Configuration changes or Data Migration activities on demand.

+ Ability todevelop Rubric within salesforceand inculcate required assessment tocalibratethe functionality.

+ Ensure data integrity through effective use of SOQL, SOSL, data loader, and batch processes.

+ Ability to adapt to the changing needs of the technical needs of the system.

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor’s/master’sdegreeand5-9years of Computer Science,ITor related field experience  

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor’s/master’s in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical field

+ 5-9 years of experience in Salesforce development including Lightning Components, Apex, Visualforce, and platform configuration

+ Hands-on experience with Salesforce security models, role hierarchy, sharing rules, and field-level access

+ Solid hands-on experience of implementing Salesforce Configurations, Apex, LWC, Aura

+ Strong understanding of Salesforce object model, workflows, validation rules, and triggers

+ Experience with Salesforce integrations using RESTful and SOAP web services

+ Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD tools, and version control systems like Git& GIT

+ Proven experience working with Copado for deployment automation, CI/CD pipeline configuration, and release management

+ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues across multiple environments

+ Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams supporting enterprise applications

+ Salesforce platform certifications areMandatory.

+ Ensure data integrity through effective use of SOQL, SOSL, data loader, and batch processes

+ Lead business requirements with data analysis and quality assurance, User acceptance testing, CRT, data bricks knowledge will be a plus.

**Must-Have Skills:**

+ Proficient in developing custom solutions using Salesforce Lightning Components (Aura and LWC), Apex classes, Visualforce pages, and Apex triggers, including batch classes and schedulers with exception handling.

+ Experience configuring standard/custom objects, fields, page layouts, validation rules, roles, profiles, permission sets, and region-specific sharing and access models.

+ Hands-on experience integrating Salesforce with internal and external systems using REST and SOAP APIs; familiarity with middleware for system interoperability.

+ Familiarity with DevOps tools, version control systems (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines beyond Copado, contributing to efficient and traceable deployments.

+ Strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot platform issues,optimizeperformance, and explore emerging Salesforce features for continuous improvement.

+ Skilled in using Copado for deployment automation, CI/CD pipeline configuration, source control management, and environment management across multiple sandboxes.

+ Deep understanding of Salesforce object model, workflows, formula fields, and Apex triggers customizing and extend platform functionality.

+ Knowledge on analysis Veracode scan risks & vulnerabilities & provide technical resolution

+ Strong knowledge on helping the stakeholders with the report’s generation using Salesforce reporting functionality.

+ Working experience on creating rubric for prioritization and scoring of various elements in the applications.

+ Working experience on writing queries and finding RCA & providing resolutions.

+ Ability to adapt to the changing needs of the technical needs of the system.

+ Working in a Professional setting aligning towards the team goals.

**Good-to-Have Skills:**

+ Experienceparticipatingin Agile/Scrum teams, with knowledge of sprint planning, retrospectives, and iterative development workflows.

+ Exposure to pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industries with an understanding of compliance and patient safety requirements.

+ Knowledge on ETL &Enterprise Data Lake, integration with Data Bricks & Building Pipelines.
