**What you will do**

Amgen India is a key contributor to the company’s global digital transformation initiatives, delivering secure, compliant, and user-friendly digital solutions. As part of the Global Medical Technology – Medical Information team, you will play a critical role in ensuring quality, compliance, and performance across Amgen’s Medical Information platforms.

In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining enterprise-grade integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform for Medical Information Websites and be responsible for delivering the product features across the Medical information websites solution ecosystem. As a Senior Cloud Developer / Engineer (MuleSoft), you will actively contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of integration flows using Mule runtime 4.x, supporting critical data exchanges and platform interoperability for GxP-regulated systems and digital platforms.

You will work closely with architects, platform owners, product teams, and infrastructure partners to ensure robust, scalable, and secure integration solutions that align with global standards and best practices. Your role will also involve hands-on deployment coordination, post-production support, and documentation ownership, making you a key player in delivering seamless connectivity across Amgen’s digital ecosystem.

**Roles & Responsibilities:**

+ Design, develop, and implement scalable integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, ensuring they meet business requirements and performance benchmarks.

+ Responsible for coding, debugging, and unit testing of integration flows and APIs built on Mule runtime 4.x, following established coding standards and best practices.

+ Utilize the full MuleSoft technology stack, including Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Runtime Manager, Exchange, and Monitoring tools, to deliver end-to-end integration services.

+ Collaborate with enterprise architects, business analysts, and technical stakeholders to translate integration requirements into well-architected technical solutions.

+ Develop and configure reusable components, connectors, templates, and APIs, enabling faster delivery and standardization across projects.

+ Own and manage the Integration Flow (IF) configurations, unit test cases, and automated test scenarios to validate system behavior and performance.

+ Take accountability for CloudHub deployments in DEV environments, and coordinate with the MuleSoft Administration team for deployment in TEST and PROD environments using CI/CD pipelines and version-controlled assets.

+ Lead and support the Go-Live process, ensuring integrations are deployed smoothly, validated in real-time, and meet SLA requirements.

+ Provide post-Go-Live hypercare support, performing issue resolution, performance tuning, and logging enhancement for long-term maintainability.

+ Update and maintain Design Specification Documents (DSDs), architectural diagrams, and integration flow documentation for ongoing reference and audits.

+ Mentor and guide junior developers on MuleSoft development, design patterns, error handling strategies, and integration security best practices.

+ Ensure integration solutions adhere to security and compliance standards, including encryption, authentication, authorization, and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, GxP).

+ Continuously evaluate and implement best practices for API-led connectivity, including Experience, Process, and System APIs as per MuleSoft’s layered architecture approach.

+ Perform performance tuning and optimization of integration solutions, including monitoring, logging, alerting, and error handling using Anypoint Monitoring and external observability tools.

+ Collaborate in Agile/Scrum development teams, actively participating in sprint planning, grooming, reviews, and retrospectives.

+ Support API governance, lifecycle management, and version control across development, QA, and production environments.

+ Stay current with emerging integration technologies, MuleSoft platform updates, and cloud-native development trends to contribute to innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.

+ Contribute to the establishment of coding standards, documentation guidelines, and reusable frameworks for broader adoption across integration teams.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including cloud engineers, DevOps, cybersecurity, QA, and business stakeholders to ensure solution alignment with enterprise goals.

+ Ability to conduct the role in accordance to GxP and CSV regulations and requirements

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Master’s degree and 3 to 4 years of Computer Science, IT or related field experience OR

+ Bachelor’s degree and 5 to 6 years of Computer Science, IT or related field experience OR

+ Diploma and 9 to 10 years of Computer Science, IT or related field experience

**Must-Have Skills:**

+ Proven hands-on experience with Mule 4.x, Anypoint Studio, API-led connectivity, and DataWeave for building scalable, secure integrations. Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, and Copado, with hands-on experience deploying to CloudHub and managing multi-environment configurations for consistent, automated delivery.

+ Deep familiarity with integration in GxP-regulated environments, ensuring adherence to security protocols (OAuth2, JWT, TLS) and compliance standards (GxP, GDPR, HIPAA).

+ Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams, strong communication skills, and ability to mentor junior developers while collaborating across global teams.

+ Proficient in developing and supporting solutions within regulated GxP and CSV-compliant computer systems, ensuring adherence to validation, audit, and documentation standards

**Good-to-Have Skills:**

+ Experience working in multi-cloud environments such as AWS or Azure

+ Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, and observability tools (e.g., Anypoint Monitoring, external logging systems)

+ Exposure to pharmaceutical or healthcare industry standards and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.)

+ Experience working with geographically distributed and cross-functional teams

+ Knowledge of DevOps and automation practices in regulated environments

+ Experience supporting production platforms and managing post-go-live hypercare.

+ Comfort with maintaining technical documentation such as Design Specification Documents and architecture diagrams

+ Familiarity with integration governance, API lifecycle management, and platform governance models

+ Willingness and ability to mentor junior developers and lead knowledge-sharing sessions

+ SAFe Agile or other Agile framework knowledge/certifications (optional)

**Professional Certifications**

+ MuleSoft Certified Developer – Level 1 (Mule 4)

+ MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect or Platform Architect

+ SAFe Agile certification (optional)
