**What you will do**

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be responsible for counseling on a wide variety of employee benefits issues, including in connection with M&A transactions. The attorney in this position may also be responsible for counseling on certain employment law issues such as leaves of absence/disability accommodations and managing contingent workers.

We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The Senior Benefits Counsel we seek will have the following qualifications.

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ JD degree from a nationally recognized law school and admission to practice law required. Candidates must have a minimum of four years of experience in employee benefits counseling (preferably with a major law firm).

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ At least five years of experience advising on ERISA, 409A, fiduciary responsibility and other employee benefits-related issues.

+ Experience advising on employee benefits issues associated with mergers and acquisitions is also preferred.

+ Candidates must have excellent analytic, legal drafting and oral and written communication skills.

+ Candidates should also possess strong management and leadership skills as well as a strong client service focus and the ability to work efficiently, prioritize workflow, meet demanding deadlines, and manage multi-dimensional projects in a fast-paced environment.
