**ROLE SUMMARY**

Reporting to the VP, Strategy & Consulting, Global Commercial Platforms, this role is responsible for working with leaders in the three Global Commercial Platform functions, viz., Marketing (CMO), Medical Affairs (CMAO), and Global Access & Value (GAV), to address key business challenges, opportunities and help define their top priorities in support of Pfizer’s commercial goals in the short, mid, and long-term.

The commercial platforms support and enable execution of brand and market-level strategies across all our commercial businesses in the US and Internationally, across all Therapeutic Areas. This role will help shape, develop, and enable execution of strategies across these platforms in support of Pfizer’s overall growth ambitions. These business strategies include key brand/market priorities and cover a broad range of in-line and pipeline assets in support of patient needs across the world.

The role has four main accountabilities:

1.Developing the commercial platforms’ strategic plan and roadmap.

2. Leading a portfolio of strategy projects related to key issues, business priorities and product needs.

3. Providing insights into market and competitive dynamics that could impact business performance or strategic direction.

4. Managing and coaching 3-4 direct reports (Senior Manager and Manager/Senior Analyst level).

**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ Partner with the CMO, CMAO, GAV vertical teams, and relevant corporate functions to develop strategies across the global commercial platforms.

+ Develop external relationships that provide outside-in perspectives on key aspects of the remit, scope and priorities of the Marketing, Medical and Access platforms.

+ Enable an integrated marketing model, accelerate brand performance, and enhance marketing effectiveness across the marketing funnel.

+ Contribute to development and execution of short and long-term US/International medical strategy. Help develop and maximize medical COEs (Center of Excellence) to drive execution excellence.

+ Leverage understanding of US/International Payer landscape and healthcare systems to help develop access strategies and solutions.

+ Lead and actively participate in a portfolio of strategic projects that provide insight and direction on key.

+ levers such as market development, customer needs assessment, patient segmentation, competitive advantage, market and/or product prioritization, and go-to-market models.

+ Actively analyze and translate impact of these levers into appropriate financial measures (e.g., revenue growth, margin, ROI, etc.).

+ Actively participate in the Strategy & Consulting team, supporting Pfizer strategy through the perspective and experience of the organizations you support.

+ Lead and manage a team of 3-4 colleagues who provide support across all 4 strategy verticals, coaching and developing them to build capabilities and deliver exceptional performance.

+ Direct and provide day-to-day oversight to project teams of colleagues with varying levels of experience.

+ Create an engaging and productive work environment where team members are encouraged to collaborate and excel.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

+ Minimum 12+ years of relevant healthcare experience required relevant healthcare experience; relevant experience includes working in or with commercial functions involving strategy development and/or strategic initiatives (e.g., marketing, medical affairs, commercial development, market access & pricing, etc.). Advanced degree in related field preferred.

+ 5+ years of biopharmaceutical consulting experience strongly preferred.

+ Prior experience of working within and knowledge of Marketing (CMO), Medical Affairs (CMAO), and/or Market Access (GAV) is strongly preferred.

+ Understands trends, value drivers and market dynamics in US and Global healthcare and biopharmaceuticals, aware of competitor strategies, and understands the drug development process.

+ Demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organization without direct authority (Category Presidents, department leaders, and functional counterparts). Must be able to influence executive commercial and research & development leaders.

+ Demonstrated strong strategic thinking skills, as evidenced by the ability to tee up the right questions, identify alternative scenarios, articulate resulting implications, and develop recommendations for decision-making or action.

+ Ability to understand and translate market and competitive dynamics into strategic implications for platforms and BUs.

+ Demonstrated project leadership, managing complex workstreams and large teams of cross-functional colleagues with varying backgrounds and skillsets.

+ Demonstrated ability and experience in overseeing the day-to-day work of junior resources, including providing coaching, mentorship, and development.

+ Basic understanding of finance and P&L implications of strategies.

+ Ability to work with complex information and distill into a framework that helps facilitate decision making.

+ Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and lead with indirect authority.

+ Excellent presentation skills sufficient to address Platform and Executive Leadership teams and external audiences.

+ Strong command of English language, spoken and written

+ Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

+ Travel required 10% of the time.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $191,300.00 to $318,800.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
