**Senior Engineer – Sustainability**

**What you will do**

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this dynamic global engineering role, you will undertake varied projects assigned to advance data analytics and digital tools within Amgen’s Environmental Sustainability Program. Responsibilities include:

+ Act as the in-house product owner for Amgen’s Sustainability Advanced Analytics digital tool.

+ Improve the methods and ways in which Amgen’s Sustainability program obtains and analyzes data and reports results.

+ Collaborate with Amgen business units, site, and functional partners to deliver results; influence and communicate effectively with clients.

+ Analyze complex data to identify trends and patterns.

+ Interpret data and present findings to stakeholders.

+ Develop and maintain digital dashboards and reports.

+ Work with stakeholders to prioritize features and enhancements based on business value and user needs.

+ Partner with functional and site management to develop and implement sustainability plans.

+ Maintain appropriate records and documentation to satisfy audit requirements.

**Basic Qualifications:**

Doctorate degree

**Or**

Master’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience

**Or**

Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience

**Or**

Associate’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience

**Or**

High school diploma / GED and 10 years of relevant experience

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, R, Power BI, Spotfire, Excel)

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

+ Knowledge of statistical methods and tools

+ Attention to details and ability to work with large datasets

+ Experience with carbon accounting and sustainability data curation

+ Certification as a Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP)

+ Certification as an Energy Manager (CEM)

+ Effective and strong interpersonal and communication skills

+ Program development and project management skills

+ Experience with data system development and management

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
