Job purpose
+ To maximize Amgen’s value propositions through first-class medical and scientific projects, services, and expertise, with key scientific customers within a therapeutic area.
+ To lead and manage the MSL team and maximize the value of them.
+ To develop and implement scientific programs in collaboration with external/internal customers.
+ To lead key field-based medical initiatives to deliver results to improve medical practice in the responsible TA.
+ To be a key member in the brand team to develop product strategy with office-based/local commercial team.
**Responsibilities**
+ Build and maintain scientific relationships with Scientific Experts.
+ Provide valuable feedback from field interactions to Amgen stakeholders to enhance the medical strategy.
+ Support Amgen-sponsored studies and handle requests for investigator-sponsored research proposals.
+ Offer scientific support in line with MSL compliance standards for commercial and other colleagues handling HCP inquiries.
+ Participate in committees or project teams that align with MSL strategies and tactics as directed by CMAL.
+ Drive medical tasks and activities as assigned by CMAL.
+ Mentor fellow MSLs as assigned by CMAL.
+ Identify opportunities to enhance the MSL value proposition, achieve results, and exemplify Amgen Values and Leadership Attributes.
+ Communicate and interact with professionalism and tact.
+ Promote openness and innovation through actions and decisions.
**Basic Qualifications**
+ Doctorate degree with 2 years of professional experience
+ OR master’s degree with 5 years of professional experience
+ OR bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience
+ Professional experience in science and/or medicine
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ PharmD, Ph.D., and/or M.D. (other advanced degrees considered)
+ Experience in medical affairs, clinical studies, or scientific research
+ Expertise in oncology, specifically solid tumors
+ Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with colleagues
+ Strong mentoring and coaching skills with proven leadership
