The Electrification and Automation (EA) Business Unit offers
the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and
through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of
today while investing into our Future Grids portfolio and applications to
create the power distribution grid of the future.
**We are looking for a Shipping Team Lead for 1st shift.This position will be based at our Wendell, NC location.**
As a Team Lead, you will manage all aspects of shipping. Our
Lead position requires basic warehousing skills and will be responsible for all
aspects of material handling. Candidates will be handling inbound materials,
auditing, replenishment, and will also perform put-away and inventory tasks.
**Shift Hours** : 6:00 am – 2:30pm
**Hourly Rate** : 24.79
**You’ll win us over by having the followingqualifications:**
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ 3+ years of experience working in the shippingdepartment of a manufacturing plant.
+ 3+ years’ experience with Forklifts (Reach truck, sitdown, Cherry pickers)
+ Proficient in using SAP – ERP system and RF Devices.
+ Must be able to lift parts or sub-assemblies thatweigh up to 50 lbs. occasionally
+ Basic proficiency in English, including reading,writing, and speaking.
+ Ability to work independently with minimalsupervision and resolve conflict in a professional manner.
+ Previous experience in a manufacturing setting or arelated position.
+ Applicants must be legally authorized for employmentwithin the United States without the need for current or future employer -sponsored work authorization.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ 5S/6S
+ Problem solving (A3, 8D, etc)
**As the Shipping Team Lead, you will:**
+ Safely operates a stand-up reach truck, stand-uporder picker, sit-down forklift, and drives a Yard Jockey to positiontrailers for loading/unloading; proficient with small hand tools, battery,electrical, and air power tools.
+ Accurately receives incoming materials, supplies, andproducts; verifies shipments, inspects condition, files damage claims, andrecords received items per established procedures.
+ Maintains and manages inventory while ensuringadherence to 5S+, Lean principles (8 Wastes, VSM, Kaizens, Standard Work),and continuous process improvement.
+ Adheres to developed processes and methods, whilealso identifying opportunities for improvement.
+ Empowers the team by participating in equipment/workarea cleaning for safety and functionality, and supports new employeetraining and SAP system access setup.
+ Performs additional duties as assigned by theWarehouse Manager.
