We are seeking a Software
Development Intern to join our team in Princeton, New Jersey, for a summer internship.
This role is ideal for a BS or MSc student passionate about software
development, especially low-code environments such as Siemens Mendix. As an
intern, you will implement software functionality in the Siemens Mendix
low-code environment, focused on supporting real-world challenges and
opportunities in Industrial Cybersecurity. This will include using AI-supported
software development approaches.

This internship is offered as an
on-site internship in our office in Princeton, NJ, USA. It is not offered as a
remote position. Siemens benefits for interns include, beyond a competitive
salary, relocation and housing allowances, among others (subject to
eligibility). This internship could provide an opportunity to be extended
beyond a summer internship.

**Thechallenges and responsibilities**

+ Support the definition andrequirements engineering for several tasks in the area of cybersecurity

+ Implement functionality using theSiemens Mendix low-code environment. Create and follow coding style guides,create reusable modules, and integrate resulting applications into the existingecosystem. Explore the AI-supported code generation capabilities of SiemensMendix.

+ Collaborate closely with researchersand engineers across Siemens Research and Predevelopment to align projectobjectives with real-world applications.

+ Present project status and progressreports in internal meetings.

**RequiredKnowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**

+ Currentlyenrolled full-time in a BS or MSc program in cybersecurity, softwareengineering, computer science, artificial intelligence, or a relatedfield.

+ Strong experience insoftware development required, ideally in languages such as Java, C,and/or Python. Prior experience in low-code environments such as SiemensMendix is a significant plus.

+ Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.

+ Experience with professional software development toolsand workflows, such as Git, Jira, or GitLab.

+ Proficiency in English both written and verbal

+ Legally authorized to work in the United States withoutcompany sponsorship for the duration of the internship

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Strong problem-solving skills with a demonstratedability to work on complex projects.

+ Excellent communication skills, with the ability toarticulate complex technical ideas effectively.

Successful candidates must be able to work with controlled
