Role Summary
The Product Specialist – Chemistry & Immunoassay is responsible for supporting the company’s diagnostic solutions by providing scientific, technical, and commercial expertise. This role acts as a key link between marketing, sales, R&D, and customer support teams to ensure products meet customer expectations and business growth objectives. The position combines deep scientific understanding with strong communication and business acumen to drive commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
+ Act as the subject matter expert for the Chemistry and Immunoassay product portfolio, including instruments, reagents, and automation systems.
+ Manage all stages of the product lifecycle, including product launch, training, performance monitoring, and discontinuation.
+ Provide technical and scientific support to the commercial and distributor teams, including product demonstrations, customer presentations, and troubleshooting.
+ Conduct market analysis and voice-of-customer studies to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive opportunities.
+ Work cross-functionally with marketing, regulatory, operations, and service teams to ensure commercial readiness and product compliance.
+ Support sales and tender processes by preparing technical documentation, product specifications, and value-based arguments.
+ Develop and deliver training programs to internal teams, distributors, and customers to strengthen product knowledge.
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with laboratory managers, biomedical engineers, and key decision-makers in hospitals and diagnostic centers.
+ Represent the company in scientific conferences, exhibitions, and customer meetings to promote product awareness and collect market feedback.
Qualifications & Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Clinical Laboratory Science (Master’s degree preferred).
+ Minimum 3 years of experience in the In-Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) or clinical laboratory industry.
+ Strong understanding of chemistry and immunoassay principles, analytical techniques, and laboratory workflow.
+ Excellent presentation and communication skills, capable of engaging both scientific and commercial audiences.
+ Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a matrix organization and handle multiple priorities.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with CRM or ERP systems is a plus.
+ Willingness to travel regionally (up to 40–50%) for customer training and support.
Preferred Skills
+ Experience managing distributor networks or indirect sales channels.
+ Knowledge of diagnostic regulatory and quality standards (e.g., CE-IVD, ISO 13485, local MOH requirements).
+ Familiarity with automation platforms for chemistry and immunoassay systems.
+ Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
+ Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
