As an intern with the **Electrification and Automation (EA)** division of **Siemens Smart Infrastructure** , you’ll gain **hands-on experience** supporting power distribution systems that keep the world running today, while also being exposed to our Future Grids technologies that are shaping the power systems of tomorrow – all within a **collaborative, impact-driven environment.**
**We are seeking qualified candidates to join our Solutions Offers Internship beginning in May or June 2026. This position will be based at our Wendell, North Carolina office location.**
**You’ll make an impact by:**
+ Creating and maintaining work instructions for Applications Engineers using AI-enabled tools.
+ Working closely with Applications Engineers in the Data Centers and Industrial & Construction teams to define and document applications engineering processes.
+ Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of the Applications Engineering playbook and related SharePoint content.
+ Collecting and analyzing quotation data to identify trends and support budgetary offer development.
+ Assisting with the enhancement and adoption of AI and digital tools within the Applications Engineering workflow.
**You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:**
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Candidates must not graduate prior to September 2026.
+ Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the 12-week summer internship.
+ Experience with or exposure to AI and digital tools.
+ Basic understanding of financial concepts related to pricing, quotations, or cost analysis.
+ Eligible candidates must be located within 50 miles of Wendell, NC, as this role does not provide relocation support.
+ Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience creating process documentation or work instructions.
+ Familiarity with SharePoint or similar knowledge-management platforms.
+ Exposure to applications engineering or technical sales support processes.
+ Knowledge of medium-voltage electrical equipment.
+ Interest in digital transformation, AI-enabled workflows, and commercial/technical proposal development.
