Our U.S. headquarters in **Wendell, North Carolina** is a hub for engineering, manufacturing, and assembly.
**We are looking for a Sr. Commodity Manager. This position will be based in Wendell, NC. Relocation assistance is available.**
In this role, you will lead strategic sourcing and supplier development initiatives across multiple manufacturing locations, driving cost competitiveness, supply continuity, and operational excellence. You will serve as a key partner to Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance while shaping sourcing strategies for critical commodities.
**You’ll** ** make an impact by:**
+ Developing and executing sourcing strategies for assigned commodities, driving cost savings, supplier performance, and supply chain resiliency.
+ Identifying, qualifying, and onboarding new suppliers while benchmarking market capabilities, capacity, and cost structures.
+ Leading complex RFQs, supplier negotiations, tooling programs, and capacity planning initiatives.
+ Building alternate sourcing strategies to support growth, mitigate risk, and improve business continuity.
+ Partnering with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance to align sourcing decisions with business objectives.
+ Driving supplier productivity, continuous improvement, cost transparency, and performance management programs.
**You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:**
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
+ 8+ years of strategic sourcing, commodity management, or procurement experience within a manufacturing environment.
+ Proven experience leading RFQs, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and supplier performance programs.
+ Strong analytical, negotiation, project management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
+ Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems, and eSourcing tools.
+ Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship and willing to travel up to 10%.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience managing commodities including Steel, Sheet Metal Fabrication, Stampings, Structures, and Paint.
+ Experience supporting engineered products, industrial manufacturing, or electrical equipment environments.
+ Knowledge of supplier quality systems, capacity planning, production ramp-ups, and risk mitigation strategies.
+ Advanced experience developing global sourcing strategies and supplier networks.
+ Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPM, or APICS certifications.
