**Strategic Planning and Operations Sr Manager – Rare Disease**

**What you will do**

In this vital role you will report to the General Manager of the UPLIZNA franchise and be responsible for supporting the leadership team to shape and execute organizational strategy, coordinate cross-functional planning, collaborate across a wide array of cross-functional teams, and manage franchise team operations.

**Strategic Planning:**

+ Work directly with GM and leadership team to identify and communicate strategic priorities across the brand

+ Ensure alignment of cross-functional teams to brand priorities and monitor progress

+ Lead special projects to support brand performance and achievement of strategic priorities

+ Help in the development of key presentations and preparation for the brand and sales teams

+ Support collection and delivery of performance updates and reporting to leadership

+ Drive key activities to support team culture, such as rewards & recognition programs, internal communications, and townhall meetings

+ Represent the GM as a core member of the marketing/sales leadership team, making recommendations and contributions to improve brand and sales team efficiency.

**Operations:**

+ Manage and coordinate leadership meetings within the Amgen team for various forums, performance, prep meetings, and planning meetings

+ Manage brand budgets (in collaboration with Finance, Marketing, and Sales teams) and coordinate strategic trade-offs across teams and functions

+ Partner with internal finance and operations partners to ensure budgets reflect broader business direction and tracking at the business unit level.

+ Establish annual brand calendar to ensure aligned execution across sales, marketing, and functional partners

+ Support planning of sales meeting with internal partners and external vendors

+ Lead agile feedback operations to ensure communication between sales, marketing, and other functions are fully informed of the needs from the field

**Basic Qualifications:**

Doctorate degree and 2 years of sales, sales ops and/or marketing experience; Or

Master’s degree and 4 years of sales, sales ops and/or marketing experience; Or

Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of sales, sales ops and/or marketing experience; Or

Associate’s degree and 10 years of sales, sales ops and/or marketing experience; Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of sales, sales ops and/or marketing experience

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Strong communication and matrix management skills across a broad range of internal and co-promote functions will be paramount.

+ Exceptional project management skills

+ Strong business analysis skill and budget management savvy

+ Tactical planning and analytical experience

+ Strong ability to translate complex data/information into simple, actionable insights

+ Excellent written, analytical and oral communication skills

+ Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills, including direct experience using these skills in professional setting

+ Field sales and/or marketing experience a plus

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
