About Smart Infrastructure – Electrification and Automation: The Electrification and Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing into our Future Grids portfolio and applications to create the power distribution grid of the future. Our comprehensive portfolio meets the growing technical requirements of today’s and tomorrow’s power grid! The Knightdale facility will deliver integrated electrical skid assemblies that combine power distribution and power conversion equipment with protection and automation systems. Electrical skids provide outdoor rated, modular, value-add solutions for key vertical markets to improve delivery reliability and lower total cost of ownership for customers. We are looking for a Supplier Quality Management – Team Lead. This position will be based in Knightdale, NC. Relocation assistance is available. You’ll make an impact by: The Team Leader of Supplier Quality Management will oversee the activities of all supplier quality assurance engineers in the QM-QA department in the WLL area, HBZ will also provide assistance to Trayer as needed, This position reports to the Director of Quality for SI EA US, is a working manager and will direct, train, develop strategy and supervise and mentor the team of Supplier Quality Assurance professionals This position is located in the Wendell, NC area. There is the possibility of hybrid working. Specifically, this manager will oversee: Responsibilities: Ensure and improve the supplier quality in the assigned areas Have direct responsibility for the SQM operations starting up in the I&I Solutions Skid business in Knightdale Implement SQE requirements regarding preventive actions, technical specifications, and qualification of suppliers Act as SQE contact in cross functional teams Locally support the global SQE/M community Measure and report Supplier incident rate (SIR), supplier failure rate (SFR), supplier caused NCCs, claim rate and develop and execute plans to improve these KPIs Qualifies and approves suppliers, in cooperation with procurement Coordinates product/service qualifications and approvals based on specific requirements/specification (Ready to order) Creates, negotiates, and monitor quality assurance agreements implementation in the supplier processes Plan and execute Supplier Audits in accordance with VDA 6.3 standards including follow ups of respective measures implementation Alignment with incoming inspection on complaint management Supports standardized supplier qualification process according to corporate guidelines (Ready for business) Leads / supports supplier related activities including Component review, Sample Inspection plan, PPAP, APQP For noncompliant products received from suppliers, drive the root cause and corrective action efforts of the supplier to prevent recurrence.. You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent 5+ years of experience in different areas of production, quality management, development, or procurement. Experience in core quality tools like FMEA, APQP, PPAP, Six Sigma, 5Why, 8D, Ishikawa Diagram, VSM, Process/ISO/VDA audits. Data Analytics/ Digitalization skills/Power BI/AI Experience in SAP, Salesforce database Ability to work in matrix global organization. Preferred Qualifications: Technical knowledge and experience in Transformers, E-Houses and related equipment. Experience working with E-house integrator, Electrical, Electronics, Sheet metal and Welding ASQ or other quality certifications desired. The pay range for this position is $100,450 – $172,200 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
