Position Summary & Overview:
As the Senior Vice President/General Manager (SVP/GM) at Cepheid, you will be a pivotal member of the global executive leadership team (L1) and leading commercial global leadership team, steering the organization towards strategic goals. This role involves overseeing commercial growth, expanding operating margins, and enhancing organizational and DBS (Danaher Business System) capability. With direct P&L responsibility for the commercial operations (sales, business operations and customer care) you’ll play a crucial part in developing and executing customer strategies to drive growth and increase market share. Managing a x-functional team across 30+ countries (with 900+ associates in the commercial operations function), you’ll be working towards optimizing individual and team performance with a focus on continuous improvement. The current global revenue is approximately $4b with close to double digit growth over the upcoming years.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop and implement a global commercial strategy to accelerate growth and support the customer-installed base.
+ Identify and execute on opportunities for go-to-market improvements, enhance market access, and build local organizational capabilities to fuel revenue growth.
+ Deliver high growth and margin business by developing GTM success for sales and customer support functions
+ Foster followership across the team to achieve strategic priorities. Drive operational rigor in the organization, from the regional GMs down to the first line leadership to ensure accurate business forecasting.
+ Provide leadership for matrix functions, including Quality/Regulatory, Marketing, HR, Operations, Logistics, Finance, and Legal by setting expectations while fostering growth, and improving operational effectiveness while collaborating across functions.
+ Emphasize talent development and succession planning, ensuring a robust pipeline of skilled leaders to drive the company’s future success.

Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree with 20+ years of experience OR Master’s/Doctoral degree with 14+ years of experience.
+ Minimum 15 years of global Commercial Leadership experience.
+ Working knowledge of all business elements, including marketing, finance, sales operations, ecommerce, customer care, customer experience, supply chain, operations, logistics, and legal.
+ Strong ability to influence and gain alignment from key stakeholders, comfortable presenting to C-suite.
+ Excellent communicator in written and verbal forms.
+ Versatile and dedicated to efficient productivity.
+ Experience planning and participating in strategic initiatives.
+ Experience in leading global transformational change.
Highly Preferred:
+ Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills.
+ Ability to translate strategy into technical requirements and technical requirements into customer-centric solutions.
+ Understanding of working with inside sales, field sales, global service and support operations, and field service.
+ Metrics and results-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
Travel:
+ 50-60% travel required.
