**What you will do**

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. This position’s primary focus is on key strategic projects that support the development of core marketing capabilities at Amgen that supports the Marketing Capabilities Team within the GMAC (Global Marketing and Access Capabilities) organization. This position partners with marketing leaders, local Leadership Teams and cross functional business partners to launch strong brands and maximize the value of every brand and indication.

Amgen recognizes the critical role marketers play in the ability of our brands to deliver outsized impact in the market. As such, we are on a long-term journey to invest in and advance the role of marketing and marketers across Amgen. This role will report to the Director of Marketing Excellence and will play a critical role in building marketing capabilities to drive commercial impact at launch and beyond.

**Key Responsibilities Include:**

+ Refine, pressure test and pilot Amgen’s playbook to Launch Excellence and embed it into the organization through training and rollout.

+ Act as a trusted launch partner, supporting brand leads and cross-functionals at key decision points, from early commercialization to launch.

+ Provide long-term launch planning support by providing portfolio view of upcoming launches and identifying partnership opportunities.

+ Curate institutional knowledge around Launch Excellence, continually capturing launch lessons and establishing best practices.

+ Act as a beacon of change for our marketing organization.

**Additional Responsibilities and Duties Include:**

+ Strong brand management / marketing acumen and preferable to have experience launching and growing at least one pharma brand.

+ Strong strategic thinker and collaborator, with the ability to challenge the status quo.

+ Ability to lead cross-functional partners, influence without authority and drive clarity in a highly ambiguous environment.

+ Stellar storyteller, with strong verbal and written communication skills including ability to present cross-functionally.

**Basic Qualifications:**

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

**Or**

Master’s degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

**Or**

Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

**Or**

Associate’s Degree and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

**Or**

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ 8+ years marketing experience, preferably across industries

+ Global commercial experience, with experience launching and growing at least one brand in the biotech/pharma industry preferred.

+ Advanced proficiency in Build Brand Foundations, Deliver Relevant Differentiation, Execute with Excellence and Make Strategic Choices competencies.

+ Strong marketing competence with experience building and growing brands

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
