**Role Purpose**
The Manager, RDBU Marketing Insights & Innovation serves as a strategic business partner to US Pharma Brand Leadership, including Brand Directors and Marketing Leads.
The role combines a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical brand marketing ecosystem with advanced analytical thinking and AI-enabled insight generation to accelerate activation and execution of brand marketing strategies.
▪ The individual will identify growth opportunities, business risks and strategic actions through the synthesis of internal and external market intelligence, customer insights, brand performance data and commercial trends.
▪ Acting as an extension of brand leadership, the individual will leverage data, market research, competitive intelligence and AI tools to generate actionable recommendations that support decision-making and business impact.
▪ The role partners closely with Brand Marketing, Commercial Analytics, Data Science, Market Research, Customer Engagement, Forecasting, Market Access, Sales and Digital teams to shape brand strategy and execution.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Strategic Brand Intelligence & Decision Support**
▪ Serve as a strategic advisor to Brand Directors and Marketing Leads, supporting brand planning and commercial decision-making.
▪ Monitor brand performance, market dynamics, customer engagement trends and competitive activity.
▪ Identify growth opportunities, emerging risks and business implications impacting brand performance.
▪ Synthesize information from multiple sources into strategic narratives and actionable recommendations.
▪ Develop executive-ready insights and recommendations for leadership discussions.
**AI-Enabled Insight Generation**
▪ Leverage AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Codex and other approved platforms to accelerate insight generation and strategic assessments.
▪ Utilize AI-enabled approaches to analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured information.
▪ Develop innovative workflows and frameworks that improve the speed and quality of insight generation.
▪ Partner with Analytics and Data Science teams to identify AI-driven opportunities that support commercial effectiveness.
**Marketing Insights & Commercial Intelligence**
▪ Analyze internal business reports, commercial dashboards, market research, customer engagement data and competitive intelligence.
▪ Identify trends, performance drivers and unmet opportunities to inform brand strategy.
▪ Connect insights across HCP, Patient, KOL and commercial channels to provide a holistic view of brand performance.
▪ Support annual brand planning, launch planning and business reviews through insight generation.
**Commercial Performance Reviews & Strategic Assessments**
▪ Lead Commercial Performance Reviews (CPRs) with Brand Marketing, Analytics and Commercial stakeholders.
▪ Translate business questions into analytical investigations and recommendations.
▪ Assess performance drivers across brand, customer, channel, market and access dimensions.
▪ Support quarterly business reviews and annual planning processes.
**Cross-Functional Collaboration**
▪ Partner with Brand Marketing, Commercial Analytics, Data Science, Market Research, Customer Engagement, Forecasting, Market Access, Sales and Digital teams.
▪ Serve as a central integration point for commercial insights across functions.
▪ Drive alignment between insights, business priorities and recommended actions.
**Required Qualifications**
▪ Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, MS or other advanced degree preferred.
▪ 7-12 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical brand marketing, commercial strategy, market research, business intelligence, commercial excellence, marketing insights or analytics roles.
▪ Minimum 5+ years supporting US pharmaceutical brands and commercial organizations.
▪ Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical brand marketing ecosystem, including Brand Marketing, Customer Engagement, Market Access, Sales, Commercial Analytics and Market Research.
▪ Demonstrated ability to synthesize insights from commercial reports, market research, competitive intelligence, customer engagement data and industry trends.
▪ Proven experience supporting brand strategy, commercial decision-making and business planning through actionable insights.
▪ Strong executive communication, storytelling and stakeholder management skills.
▪ Strong analytical, business problem-solving and strategic thinking capabilities.
▪ Experience leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to improve insight generation and decision-making.
**Preferred Qualifications**
▪ Experience supporting Brand Directors, Marketing Leads or Commercial Leadership teams.
▪ Knowledge of HCP, Patient and KOL engagement strategies and commercial performance drivers.
▪ Familiarity with pharmaceutical market research, competitive intelligence, forecasting and business planning methodologies.
▪ Experience partnering with analytics and data science teams.
▪ Understanding of omnichannel engagement and commercial effectiveness measurement.
**Insights & Analytical Capabilities**
▪ Ability to interpret and synthesize data from commercial reports, brand performance dashboards, market research studies and competitive intelligence sources.
▪ Experience extracting actionable insights from business reviews, customer analytics and external market intelligence.
▪ Ability to identify trends, opportunities, risks and business implications.
▪ Experience translating complex analyses into concise recommendations and executive-ready narratives.
**AI & Innovation Capabilities**
▪ Experience leveraging AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Codex and similar platforms to accelerate insight generation and decision-making.
▪ Ability to utilize AI-enabled approaches to analyze information from multiple commercial and market sources.
▪ Experience developing prompts, workflows and frameworks that improve insight generation and strategic planning.
