In this vital role you will be an integral member of the DTI team working on a newly formed Agile Product Team that will own Amgen’s Structured Content Authoring and Generative AI solutions supporting the common technical document submission process and their integration with upstream and downstream data sources and systems. The position is located in our offices in Thousand Oaks, CA, or Tampa, FL, or we can also consider remote applicants in a United States. **Role & Responsibilities:**
+ Provides design guidance that follows the enterprise architecture vision and adheres to applicable application technology guidelines; mitigates the impact of technical design on security, performance and data privacy
+ Plans and develops architectural designs and application solutions
+ Resolves technical issues and seeks application rationalization
+ Identify and prototype tools and technology, in both an advisory, and in some cases, hands-on capacity
+ Leads other engineers by example
+ Integrates systems with commercial off-the-shelf applications and custom developed applications
+ Migrates existing applications and develops new applications in major cloud platforms
+ Communicates effectively with senior leadership
+ Interprets and translates goals into technical specifications and drives technological change
+ Demonstrates business and domain acumen to interpret and translate architecture plans into business plans
+ Collaborates with other architects and developers to provide technical design guidance that aligns with strategy and technical standards
+ Evaluates and makes strategic design decisions that address specific technological needs
+ Develops and maintains application roadmaps
+ Researches and evaluates emerging technologies and novel approaches to make recommendations that enhance business processes and/or create competitive advantages
+ Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to resolve complex technical issues; uses analytical thinking skills to identify, debug and resolve technical issues
+ Uses business knowledge and interpersonal skills to build, maintain and influence relationships with senior leaders and suppliers

**Basic Qualifications:**
**Doctorate degree**
OR
Master’s degree and 3 years of Information Systems experience
OR
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of Information Systems experience
OR
Associate degree and 10 years of Information Systems
**Or**
High school diploma/GED and 12 years of Information Systems experience
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Familiar with Amgen City Planning platforms like Amazon Web Services, Salesforce, MuleSoft, Databricks, etc.
+ Understands established software development lifecycles and methodologies including Agile, iterative and waterfall, using blended resources
+ Learns rapidly and continuously takes advantage of new technologies, concepts and business models
+ Stays current with emerging technology trends
+ Experience with architectural design and application delivery
+ Acquainted with Lean IT principles and data-driven approaches
+ Familiar with architectural domains including cloud application architecture and container-based deployment
+ Excellent analytical and problem solving, communication and presentation skills
+ Good understanding of business complexity and project inter-dependencies
+ Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across disciplines
+ Outstanding communication and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations
+ Good understanding of basic system engineering, information risk and security guidelines and architecture standards
+ Be a great teammate able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus
